Golfweek magazine has included Fiddler’s Creek® in its Top 100 Best Residential Golf Courses listing for a fifth, consecutive year.
Golfweek’s Best Residential Golf Courses program is undertaken by a team of over 300 course raters, drawn from every state. These raters scour the nation and evaluate over 1,800 golf courses on the basis of 10 technical criteria of design excellence.
Criteria can include overall strength of routing, feature shaping, natural setting, greens, variety and memorability of holes, conditioning and maintenance, landscape management and other statistical data.
“In recent years, there’s been a decided shift in the golf development market, from free-standing facilities to real estate communities,” said Golfweek’s America’s Best Courses program director and architecture editor, Bradley S. Klein. “In recognition of that change, Golfweek is dedicated to honoring courses where golf architects, developers and land planners have successfully established home sites while protecting basic golf values. This list of top 100 residential golf courses is a product of our commitment.”
